't Kiekgat
The small warbler whistles happily in the reed beds of 't Kiekgat. In the 1970s, you could mostly hear bulldozers here. Before the Haringvliet dam was built, sand was extracted here, creating a large pond. Now it is a fantastic nature reserve. Watch the birds living on and around the lake. While shovelers float on the water, waders and spoonbills forage for food in the shallows.
