Goedereede-Havenhoofd
About two kilometres northeast of Goedereede lies Havenhoofd. To the north, Havenhoofd borders the Kwade Hoek Hoek nature reserve, and part of it lies on a spur of the Zuiderdiep. Before the Haringvliet was closed off, Havenhoofd formed the gateway to Goedereedes harbours. This was necessary as sand deposits caused Goedereede to move further from the sea, and in the late 18th century, Havenhoofd was created. Enjoy the view of Havenhoofd from the seating area at the Peekaai, where an information panel can also be found.
