Bird watching from an architectural egg

It is as if a giant tern has laid an egg in De Scheelhoek nature reserve in Stellendam. In a nest of braided willow branches lies a gigantic egg measuring 8 by 11 metres. Hidden behind the cracks in the egg is a bird hide. A beautiful bird observatory in a perhaps even more beautiful nature reserve, where, in addition to the sandwich tern and common tern, you can now also spot the European bald eagle!
