Filmhuis | The Portuguese House
Fernando is a shy professor of geography in Barcelona with a particular fondness for paper maps. Those maps are of no help to him when, one morning, without warning or explanation, his wife packs her bags and leaves him feeling lost and adrift. Fernando decides to travel to the north-west of Portugal, where he meets Manuel, a gardener who was just about to start a job at a beautiful old country house. When Manuel suddenly dies, Fernando impulsively assumes his identity.
