It's not easy, but that's why it's an expedition. We will give you a good pair of binoculars, which will help! Listening to the sound of the Kingfisher beforehand also helps. You usually hear it before you see it! It is not for nothing that the Kingfisher is nicknamed the 'Blue Flash'; you often see it flying just above the water, lightning fast and blue. It is no guarantee that we will see or hear it, but at the places we visit, we see a Kingfisher eight out of ten times. Fortunately, there are plenty of other birds to see and the bird guide tells you about the area and searches with you for the birds on and around the water. Will we manage to see the Kingfisher? If we listen carefully and pay attention, we definitely have a chance! Failed, not to worry. It is a fun walk and there is plenty to see and do along the way. The walk takes a good one and a half to two hours. Sturdy shoes are handy.
