Bird Bricks Exhibition
Two artists who are crazy about Lego ánd birds will show their special creations ánd you can build your own unique bird in the play area.
Bram Wickel designs and builds birds out of lego. But it is not complete until he has taken a picture of the lego bird in nature, in a place where it is actually found. The exhibition features dozens of his creations, but you can also take a look at the photos. Bram Wickel is known from TV and especially for this exhibition, he also makes some large birds out of lego that can be found at our coast.
Roy Scholten prints with lego bricks. He uses the shapes of lego bricks and puts them in a printing mould, making recognisable prints of Dutch birds. As many as 50 birds can be seen at the Bird Brick exhibition!

There is plenty to do around the exhibition: there is a special 'play zone' where you can make your own bird to your heart's content. The best creations will get a place in the exhibition. A few times a week, there are workshops where you can make a bird picture with Lego bricks. There are also workshops at PiXlLife in which you can build a kingfisher, oystercatcher or spoonbill from Lego (using circular Lego bricks), after which you go outside to photograph your bird in nature.
