Ramon Chatrer

Ramon Chatrer (‘’sjatree’’ is Old French for ‘to castrate’) is raring to go, because tonight’s the night! His second cabaret show, ‘VOLK’, received rave four-star reviews, and *Theaterkrant* named it ‘Critics’ Choice’.

With his charming appearance and tousled hair, Chatrer talks about growing up in a small village in Brabant and the hustle and bustle of ‘the big city’ where he now lives. There are people everywhere, and Ramon never quite seems to fit in. This results in plenty of jokes, surprising stories and acclaimed songs influenced by funk, soul and blues, performed on the bass guitar, amongst other instruments. With ‘VOLK’, Chatrer tells an impressive and important story about the secrets of a cosy village in Brabant. ‘An evening that will linger in the memory for a long time to come’, according to the press.

What the press has said about Ramon:

‘His jokes are delivered to the audience with perfect timing’ – Theaterparadijs

‘Fantastic songs, which place Chatrer amongst the very best Dutch singer-songwriters’ – Theaterkrant

‘Humour and seriousness continue to alternate beautifully’ – Theaterkrant

‘A gifted storyteller and a master of cabaret songwriting’ – I Love Theatre
