Cor Bakker & David Linx

When Cor Bakker and David Linx share the stage, music is reborn. The paths of these two phenomenal artists have crossed before, and during a recent TV appearance on ‘Podium Klassiek’, it became clear that the music world has gained a new royal duo.

The Brussels-born singer David Linx is a unique performer. He was awarded the ‘Voice of the Year’ prize in France, so you can imagine what to expect. He has won an Edison Jazz Award in this country, but David Linx does not yet enjoy the recognition he deserves here.
It is high time he was introduced to the Dutch public. Naturally, this is best achieved alongside the virtuoso pianist Cor Bakker. Linx and Bakker will also perform songs from their own repertoires.

Crossroads is more than just the sum of two hands and a voice. The programme is an unconventional mix of chansons and jazz, meandering from Joni Mitchell via Jacques Brel to Elvis Costello, Michel Legrand and Ramses Shaffy. An evening full of songs that sound as though you’re hearing them for the very first time.
