The Reading Club – Lucy and Donker (4+)

As the sun sets, a whole new world begins. During the autumn half-term, we’ll discover the magic of the night together – full of stars, nocturnal animals and exciting stories. Pop into the library and experience it for yourself! This time, we’ll be reading the exciting picture book *Lucy and the Dark* by Karst-Janneke Rogaar. Afterwards, we’ll make a lovely little lamp to take home with us. About the book: It’s the middle of the night and Lucy is awake. The whole room lies still, waiting for the day to begin again. If only it were morning! When Lucy turns on the light, she hears a voice from under her bed. ‘It’s me, Darkness,’ says the voice. But when she plucks up the courage to look under her bed, she sees… absolutely nothing.
