Day workshop Digiscoping & Phonescoping

Did you know that you can use your smartphone or camera, in combination with a telescope or binoculars, to take perfect pictures to record your observations? It takes some dexterity and a good adapter, but then you are 'ready to go'. In this day workshop, Peter Grobben takes you through the whole process and guides you in a small group to the perfect result.

Digiscoping is possible with an SLR, a system camera or a smartphone. Using adapters, you connect the various elements together. Thanks to the magnification of the telescope or binoculars, distant objects are brought many times closer (just like with a telephoto lens). Photographing at 30x magnification (focal length 1500mm) is the rule rather than the exception. The results are amazing! During this one-day workshop, you will learn all about the right camera and phone settings, suitable adapters and the most useful applications. After theory, the first practical exercise in the field begins. Over lunch, we will go over the first results before starting a second practical session. Finally, we do a final check and close with great results.
