Etchings by Rembrandt

Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) was a Dutch painter, etcher and draughtsman. He is considered the greatest artist the Netherlands produced in the 17th century. His group portrait "The Night Watch", on display at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, is world-famous. Rembrandt made 300 etchings. The 55 finest etchings have been selected for the exhibition. The artworks are on loan from Museum Rembrandthuis, the Rembrandt in Black & White collection, the Rijksmuseum and Teylers Museum. The exhibition will be accompanied by an illustrated catalogue.

The exhibition can be seen from 22 May to 30 August 2026
