100 bird species in 1 day

A whole day out in the Southwest Delta with a very experienced birder in our mini-bus in search of 100 bird species. We start around 07:00 at PiXLife and only return ten hours later with a long list of sightings.

The route will be determined by the guide only shortly beforehand, but will certainly consist of a wide variety of habitats. From coast to forest, from mudflats to bushes. Search with us for bluethroats and bearded warblers in the reeds, species of grebes on the Grevelingen, perhaps the raven on Schouwen or the first summer carolers. With the right wind, we can also 'score' many species at a counting station. Too many to mention, but of course we keep our daily list up to date. Even though the bar is high with 100 species, we take the time to look at the birds closely and discuss the characteristics. Nice sightings are more important than this goal. Only general species will not get you to that 100. If rarities have been reported in the region, we adjust our route accordingly. We cannot guarantee 100 species, but we do promise that it will be a day dedicated to birdwatching.
